Payment directly to the host
At urbanbnb, you do not pay an anonymous platform. You pay your host directly. Payment is generally made by bank transfer. Your booking confirmation includes the listed costs and the contact details of your host.

When does payment have to arrive?
The bank transfer must arrive in the host’s account no later than 1 day before arrival.
Please briefly coordinate payment with your host before arrival and ask for the bank details if you have not yet received them.
Arrival and key handover
After booking, you coordinate your arrival time directly with your host. Many hosts are private individuals, so the handover is personal and arranged by mutual agreement.
Check-in
Check-in takes place by arrangement with the host.
Check-out
Check-out is until 11:00 a.m., unless otherwise agreed.
Advance payment, longer stays and deposit
Some details depend on the booking date and length of stay. The exact information can be found in your booking confirmation or clarified directly with your host.
Advance payment
If your booking is made more than 14 days before arrival, the host may request an advance payment of 30 % of the rental amount. This also applies to guests residing abroad.
Longer stays
For stays of 2 months or more, the accommodation costs are paid monthly.
Deposit
A security and key deposit is charged for protection. It is usually 30 % of the accommodation costs.
Refund
The deposit is refunded within 14 days after proper return of the accommodation and keys.
Make an informed decision before booking
Since many of our guests come from Germany and abroad and are not yet on site at the time of booking, we generally do not offer personal viewings before booking. This creates a consistent and fair booking process for all interested guests.
