Booking Process at urbanbnb

To ensure your stay begins calmly and reliably, here is a clear overview of all steps. This process applies to all furnished stays from 1 to 12 months – whether for work, projects or transition periods.

Arrival

After your booking, you coordinate your arrival time directly with your host. Most hosts are private individuals, so the handover is personal and flexible.

  • Check‑in: arranged directly with the host
  • Check‑out: by 11:00 AM
A short coordination before arrival ensures a smooth and relaxed handover.

Payment

Payment at urbanbnb is always made by bank transfer directly to the host. Your booking confirmation lists all relevant costs:

  • accommodation costs
  • deposit
  • cleaning fee
  • possible extension costs

Please contact your host before arrival to confirm the payment details and request the bank account information if needed.

The bank transfer must be received on the host’s account no later than 1 day before arrival.

Cash payment is only possible in one specific exceptional case:

  • you book on the same day,
  • you arrive on the same day,
  • and a bank transfer (including instant transfer) is no longer possible in time.

In this situation, you may pay the full amount in cash upon arrival.

Deposit

A security and key deposit is required. It is usually 30% of the accommodation costs.

  • The deposit can be transferred or – in case of very short‑notice bookings – paid in cash on arrival.
  • The refund is made within 14 days after proper return of the accommodation and keys.

Important: The accommodation officially ends only when the keys are fully returned. If keys are accidentally taken along, the host may charge additional nights.

Advance Payment

If your booking is made more than 14 days before arrival, the host may request an advance payment of 30% of the rental amount. This also applies to guests whose residence is outside Germany.

If you have questions regarding the bank details or payment, please contact your host directly. Their contact information is listed in your booking confirmation.

Long‑Term Stays

  • For stays of 2 months or longer, accommodation costs are paid monthly.

Additional Notes

  • Careful handling: Please treat the accommodation and inventory with care.
  • Pets: Only allowed if explicitly stated in the property description. Additional fees may apply depending on the host.
  • Smoking: Not permitted in any accommodation.
  • Cancellation: The Terms & Conditions apply.
  • Issues: Please report any issues to your host immediately so they can be resolved quickly.
